How book publication cost is calculated
Your estimate combines four parts: the publication plan, any add-on services you select, optional paperback printing, and GST on the subtotal.
1. Publication plan
Each plan bundles a set of services. Higher plans include extras such as plagiarism reports, peer review and complimentary hard copies — anything included is shown as free in the calculator.
2. ISBN and DOI
ISBN registration is always free. A Crossref DOI gives your book a permanent, citable link and is available as an add-on when your plan does not include it.
3. Paperback printing
Each copy costs pages × ₹3.00 plus ₹510.00 for cover and binding. Copies included in your plan are deducted before printing is charged. See printing and distribution for hardcover and bulk options.
4. GST
GST at 18% is applied to the plan and services for authors in India. International authors are billed at the international rate shown when you switch the billing region.
Royalties
Authors keep a transparent share of every sale: 70% e-book / 70% hardcopy author share. See our royalty policy for details.
